I have had the privilege of supporting clients over the last 30 years. I have a Bachelors Degree in social sciences from WSU and a Masters Degree in social work from Eastern Washington University. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I offer a free, 15 minute telephone consultation as an important element in establishing rapport to work together. I use an eclectic approach to my clinical practice, which enables me to individually tailor services to my clients. Self determination is a key component to my practice. Goals and objectives are client centered. I am committed to providing a safe space for my clients.
Tell me, how can I help?
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate in the state of Washington and fully supervised, as I seek to attain full Licensure as a LICSW. I have a Masters of Social Work from Eastern Washington University and a Bachelors of Social Work with a Minor in Early Childhood Education. I have worked with children and families for over 25 years. I believe that each of us are the experts in our own lives. Through my work I am committed to helping people find the answers and solutions they seek. I see my position as a therapist to join with my clients on their journey by providing guidance and tools to develop skills that will enable you to be the best version of yourself.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Washington. My experience includes working with individuals coping with depression, anxiety, bipolar, post-traumatic stress, personality disorders, severe mental illness and substance use disorders. I am trained in a trauma therapy called EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). I believe the therapeutic relationship between the counselor and the client is the most important factor to ensure the success of counseling. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including (but not limited to) motivational interviewing, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
I have been in managerial positions for most of my working career. I am eager to step into a more behind-the-scene role in this business. I am a problem solver by nature. I will ensure this business runs smoothly and efficiently on a day-to-day basis. I am the first point of contact for potential clients, and I take that role very seriously. All questions and concerns will be directed to me. I will be the lead in our administration team.
Our goal as a counseling center is to provide the best support and assistance possible, which begins with me. I look forward to speaking with you and assisting you with your healing journey! Let's do this! You can do hard things.
